Maplewood Academy Mission Trip Blesses Capital City Adventist Christian School

Capital City Gym Repairs 2Capital City Adventist Christian School, located in St. Paul, received a huge blessing at the beginning of March. Several Maplewood Academy students, along with Bible teacher, Linda Vigil, began their Spring Break by visiting Capital City school. Each year, Maplewood Academy plans a mission trip during spring break as a way for the students to reach out and help others. This year, Minnesota is their mission trip. Students are serving our Adventist schools, among other things, as their mission trip. What an awesome thing for Maplewood Academy students to help their sister schools out! The students cleaned and painted the gymnasium for two days straight. Doug Eno from Hutchinson came and volunteered his time for four days, with help from Jonathan Kutschara, and painted new gym lines on the floor. Capital City was very blessed by the student and adult volunteers who took their time and money to make Capital City School a better place. The gym doesn’t even look like the same place, and the students couldn’t be more excited.

Students Learn about the Fall of Man

Chad Dungan, the 5-8 teacher at Capital City Adventist Christian School, had been teaching his students about the rebellion in heaven and the eventual fall of man. To help cement the story and it’s spiritual implications, he instructed his students to create a project that would engage their creativity and teamworking abilities. The students scripted, created the sets and props, and filmed a stop motion video that shows Satan’s fall from heaven and how he succeeded in tempting man.
