We were incredibly excited to learn that two Minnesota Conference Pathfinder clubs: Faith Church International, and Kenyan Community Church (KCC), made it to the Division Bible Experience in Arizona. For about a year, the 2015-2016 PBE season, hundreds of young people across the Division studied the Book of Exodus. On April 16, 2016, 100 teams from across the Division and 5 from the British Union gathered in Prescott, Arizona for the fifth annual North American Division (NAD) Testing Event.
To prepare for this event, the groups studied Exodus and the Seventh-day Adventist Bible Commentary diligently for details. Clubs in the Conference had to qualify in the Area Level Testing to advance and participate in the Conference Level PBE Testing and they then had to qualify to be invited to the Division level testing. I was impressed with the level of knowledge acquired by our young people in this experience.
The Arizona PBE experience was well attended, with many friends and family members going to support the teams as they participated. Our Youth Director, Pastor Jose Torres, went to support the two teams from our conference. Faith Church International “Faith Warriors” team got First Place, scoring 90% or more correct. We want to congratulate the “Faith Warrior” team members; Abby Maranga, Debra Oganda, Emily Ndege, Joan Okwemwa, John Mungandi, Oscar Siocha and George Nyabicha, the Pathfinder Leader for their success.
The 2017 Pathfinder Bible Experience has already begun, the Pathfinders will be studying four books from the New Testament books. How I hope every one of us would studied the Bible like the Pathfinders do, and allow the power of the Word to impact our lives. The dates for the Division PBE Finals will be April 21-22, 2017 and this time Lake Union Conference will be hosting the events.
