Gospel Summit – Minneapolis

_MG_6896The Gospel Summit – May 25-30 2015 was hosted by the Kenyan Community Church in Brooklyn Center, MN. This Summit put emphasis on the power of the Gospel as seen in Jesus Christ. The speakers all used the theme passage of Hebrews 4, pointing the listeners to Jesus. They showed how legalism and even moralism in the Christian community has often eclipsed the Gospel. The speakers emphasized that when the Gospel is rightly understood, it will always point men and women to Christ and the cross. On the cross, God is telling mankind that they have been graciously accepted in Christ Jesus. Salvation was paid for in full and we can’t earn it by works.

Ray and Ruth Forde, all of them pointed the congregation to the sweetness of the love of God. They painted the beauty of the character of Christ, saying that only the Gospel has the power to bring real joy in this life.

Gospel summit baptismThe Gospel Summit was attended by about 730 people. On Sabbath, May 30, 2015, 8 people declared their faith in Jesus Christ by joining the Seventh-day Adventist church through baptism. Indeed, we saw how when people drink from the well, studying the gospel and dwelling on Jesus, that men and women are released into a new life with a new passion for God and His work.

The Gospel given in light of the three angels’ message will bring results. Revelation 14:6-12 is a vision of God’s everlasting Gospel that will be preached in our time to all peoples of the world.
