Ms. Schebo’s class at Minnetonka Christian Academy has been praying and thinking about the people of Nepal since the massive earthquake struck this past week. As a class they decided to challenge themselves to see if they could raise $50.00 by Friday.
They didn’t stop there. The students then challenged the other classrooms and staffs in our building to each raise $50.00 by Friday. If all went as planned, they hoped to raise $200 to send to ADRA to help the relief efforts in Nepal by Friday.
The students were inspired to break into their piggy banks to help, ask grandma and grandpa for a few dollars, and maybe even ask some friends and relatives. There were even a few students who said they wanted to have a fundraiser.
The goal was to raise $200 in three days. They more than doubled that with a total of $520.10! We will send the money to Adventist Development and Relief Agency that sends aid and medical help to those in need.
We are so proud of Ms. Schebo’s class for their leadership and inspiration and to all of our MCA students and staff for stepping up to the challenge!
John 13:34-35 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
