In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth and it was Good! Then there was trash! Stone Ridge SDA Christian School (SRSDACS) embraces the earth and its care as a privilege given by God. On Earth Day, April 22, 2015 the students spent time with trash bags in hand, cleaning up three streets around the school. Stewardship is more then returning your tithes and offerings, it’s also about taking care of what’s around you even if it doesn’t belong specifically to you.
Teaching children to be responsible for public spaces is a gift the community will benefit from in years to come. The students also made Earth Day posters and a short video to share with their constituent churches on Sabbath.
