Hungry in Body and Spirit

Pathfinder%20HeaderOn Saturday, November 29, 2014, the Alcion Pathfinder Club, along with four additional clubs spent two amazing hours talking, laughing, and singing but more importantly, helping to end hunger. Through the collaboration of area coordinators, club directors, supportive parents and a great organization like Feed My Starving Children, over 100 of our pathfinders and volunteer staff packed over 32,000 meals to feed hungry children in Somalia. Feed My Starving Children is a non-profit Christian organization committed to feeding God’s children, hungry in body and spirit, in over 70 countries around the world. Thanks to our combined efforts we were able to feed over 85 children for one whole year. Our Pathfinder Pledge teaches us to “be a servant of God and a friend to man”, and this was a very fun way to fellowship and show Jesus’ love to our community and the world.

“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’” Matthew 25:40
