Lawrence Dale Lashier, who served as Assistant Treasurer of the Minnesota Conference from 1996 to 2005 passed away on March 19 at the age of 71. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Charlene; daughters, Michelle Lashier Rosas and Nadine Lashier; grandson, Nathan Rosas; sister, Lorraine Spady; and many relatives and friends.
Larry was a pastor’s kid and fourth-generation Adventist. He graduated from Walla Walla College with a degree in business. During his army service in the mid 1960s, he participated in Operation White Coat and worked at the Walter Reed Hospital. Throughout his career in finance, Larry was employed by various government, medical and nonprofit institutions in Maryland, Texas, Georgia, Louisiana, California, and Minnesota.
Larry was an active member of the Minnetonka Seventh-day Adventist church for 17 years. He ran the PA, worked on church building projects, and enjoyed interacting with kids. He was a loving family man who leaves his family with the hope of the second coming of Jesus and the resurrection.
