The St. Paul Trailblazers Celebrate the Year with a Baptism

The St. Paul Trailblazers Pathfinder Club had a great year impacting the lives of many within and outside their club.  This Pathfinder year 2012-2013, Abigael Kirwa, a student attending through Distance Learning, joined the club.  She participated in the Pathfinder Bible Experience which is the official North American Division Pathfinder Bible study program, and the St. Paul Trailblazers proceeded all the way to the Division level in Nebraska.  In addition, she took club activities and her class level seriously while welcoming new people into her life.  Abigael Baptism St. Paul TrailblazerOn Saturday, June 8th, Abigael was baptized by Pastor Tony Jasper at the St. Paul First SDA Church during Investiture service.  Pathfinders, their families and other church members were there to give support and celebrate her baptism.  The purpose of a pathfinder club is to encourage youth to have a closer walk with God and Abigael has certainly chosen this walk as a winning soul for Christ.   Congratulations Abigael!

Personal Ministries – series of weekend seminars

personal min AugThe Personal Ministries Department is pleased to sponsor a series of weekend seminars presented by the North American Division Evangelism Institute (NADEI). Our goal is to support healthy churches, where current members create a safe environment to nurture new members who are growing in Jesus.

The various seminars will take place in locations around the twin cities, and will feature topics such as witnessing, church growth, new member resources, stewardship, and marriage enrichment. Presenters will include Tom Evans, Ron Clouzet, Don James, Ed Schmidt, Claudio and Pamela Consuegra, and Richard Moore. Attendance is open to all interested members, and the cost of each seminar is $35.00 per person. Child care is available for $25.00 for the weekend, and a Sabbath meal is provided, but other meals and travel expenses are not included.

Our first seminar will begin August 23-25, with Ed Schmidt, Lay Model and Church Growth. It will be held at the Minneapolis Marriott Northwest, 7025 Northland Drive N, Brooklyn Park, MN. You can register online at http://www.adventsource.org (click on the “Events” tab, then “events registration”; next, select “Twin Cities School of Evangelism”).

I hope that everyone who is passionate about healthy churches will be able to join us for the weekend. Register early, because space is limited.
